Egypt has officially launched its National Strategy for Localizing Vaccine Manufacturing. In a prestigious ceremony hosted by VACSERA, key officials from the Ministry of Health and Population, the World Health Organization, and international pharmaceutical leaders aligned on a joint roadmap.
The strategic initiative aims to achieve local self-sufficiency in life-saving biological preparations, human vaccines, and therapeutics. This will protect the Egyptian population against potential pandemic shocks and expand Egypt's biological exports to neighboring African and Arab countries.
Under the strategy, new infrastructure upgrades and tech-transfer agreements will be fast-tracked at the EGYVAC 6th of October complex, creating a robust national biomanufacturing ecosystem.
